EVENT GUIDELINES FOR PINE MOUNTAIN CONTINENTAL CUP
Please take note that Pine Mountain Road will be closed to thru traffic Saturday and Sunday starting at approximately 8:00am CST both days. WE ARE ENCOURAGING PEOPLE TO CAR POOL AS WE ARE EXPECTING A RECORD SETTING CROWD ON SATURDAY. IN ADDITION, A SHUTTLE WILL BE RUNNING FROM BAY COLLEGE PARKING LOT TO THE NORTH GATE OF THE SKI JUMP COMPLEX AT THE INTERSECTION OF BELLAGOMBA RD. AND PINE MOUNTAIN ROAD. COST FOR THE SHUTTLE WILL BE $5.00 FOR ROUND TRIP. YOUO MUST HAVE A SKI BUTTON TO GET ON THE SHUTTLE AND BUTTONS WILL BE AVAILABLE THERE. Be prepared for traffic changes entering & departing the ski jump complex. You are encouraged to pre-purchase your Booster Buttons so you may use the express lane when entering. If exiting the parking lot prior to 2:30, you will only be permitted to turn right. PLEASE USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN APPROACHING GATES AND THROUGHOUT THE JUMP COMPLEX PROPERTY – MANY PEDESTRIANS WILL BE ON FOOT. EVEN THOUGH ATV’S/SIDE BY SIDES ARE LEGAL TO DRIVE ON MANY OF OUR ROADS, THEY ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE SKI JUMP PARKING LOT. The following guidelines have been established to assure the safety and the enjoyment of all those in attendance at the competition: WITH THERE BEING NO SNOW IN THE PARKING LOTS SPECIAL EMPHASIS WILL BE PLACED ON CONTAINING FIRES IN THE PARKING LOT. All fires must be contained and under control at all times, excess size & smoke will not be tolerated. Burning barrels or approved commercial contained fireplaces must be used. NO FIRES MAY BE STARTED ON THE GROUND; NO PALLETS CAN BE BURNED; NO BALES OF HAY OR STRAW MAY BE BURNED, NO CHRISTMAS TREES AND NO FURNITURE MAY BE BURNED. General Event Guidelines: ~ By 9:00 AM Saturday, all vehicles in general admission parking must be parked bumper to the snowbank ~ By 11:00 AM Sunday, all vehicles in general admission parking must be parked bumper to the snowbank ~ Admission Buttons must be worn and visible at all times starting Friday February 23rd ~ There is NO ACCESS to the top of the hill Thursday thru Sunday of the event. ~ Snowmobiles & ORV’s may not ride in the parking lot. (These vehicles may park in the far NORTH end of the lot. ~ Campers, RV’s and buses will all have designated parking areas. ~ Stereo noise must be kept to a minimum at all times. ~ The construction of shelters is strongly discouraged. If you find it necessary, the height must not exceed 6’0” as a courtesy to those behind you. Shelters must be taken down and removed no later than Saturday, March 2nd. ~ Reminder – Refrigerator box type “homemade” porta johns will not be permitted. ~ You may not scavenge through the PRIVATE PARKING SPOTS the week after the event – many people come back to gather their gear the following week and weekend – consider it private property.(this includes hay bales) ~ Please clean up after yourselves – DO NOT LEAVE GARBAGE OR SHELTER DEBRIS ~All spectators must vacate the parking lot by 7 PM both Saturday & Sunday after the competition. ~ All State Laws & County Ordinances will be enforced including MIP and other alcohol related violations. ~ Animals are discouraged at the complex – if you bring them, they must be on a leash – no exceptions. ~ No sliding on any of the hills on or adjacent to the landing hill.
